GEA designs Cogeneration Systems (Combined Heat & Power) utilizing a variety of fuels including: biogas, landfill gas, and syngas (from MSW or Biomass Gasification). GEA designs the CHP utilizing Engine-Generators or Gas Turbine Systems. Fuel preparation is a critical aspect of the design. For biogas, and LFG, removal of H2S and Siloxanes is critical. For Syngas, removal of tars, oils, acids and particulates is critical. GEA has developed a new combined Gas Treatment/Heat Recovery process to upgrade syngas to engine generator fuel quality.
