GEA is a multi-disciplined civil-environmental engineering firm
offering services to both the public and private sector. With

York City, GEA has convenient access to areas throughout New York, New Jersey,
Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
GEA Engineering P.C. is licensed to practice engineering as a

GEA Environmental Consultants, Inc., an affiliated corporation,
is an environmental consulting firm which also provides engineering services,
permitting, environmental compliance and scientific investigative and assessment
services in the environmental field.
GEA Engineering was formed in 1988 to respond to the public's
concern for the quality of our nation's environment and to the unique
requirements of both public and private sector clients who are in need of highly
qualified senior technical professionals to provide dedicated experience on a
full-time project basis. Expanding from a sole proprietorship established by
Steven M. Gamelsky, PE in 1988, GEA Environmental Consultants, Inc. became
incorporated in 1991 with Mr. Gamelsky serving as President and CEO. In 1992,
the engineering firm, GEA Engineering became a Professional Corporation.
GEA's commitment to provide service to our clients extends
beyond the level of providing management or supervisory "oversight" to
staff members; GEA distinguishes itself from other consulting firms by the level
of "hands-on" commitment we are able to provide our clientele,
facilitated by the expertise of our senior professionals in the environmental
field.
GEA is dedicated to providing our clients with the highest
quality product, employing the best technical expertise while applying state of
the art technology that results in cost-effective solutions. This is
accomplished primarily through our philosophy of undertaking each project as if
it were our own with the attendant technical, social, legal, environmental and
financial considerations always kept in primary focus.
GEA, a multi-disciplined firm, is comprised of professionals
licensed in their respective fields including: civil, environmental and
mechanical engineers, environmental scientists, geologists, designers,
draftspeople, and administrative technical support staff. It has grown from a
dedicated group of two to fifteen professionals. Additional technical support
and manpower is provided by affiliated consultants and part-time field staff on
an as-needed project basis. Legal and regulatory assistance is provided by
environmental attorneys who address specific client environmental issues and
legal and contractual matters.
The firm serves a diverse mix of clients including the private
sector (35%), state and local governments (43%), and Federal agencies (22%).
This client base includes firms listed on the Fortune 500 list as well as the
Department of Defense agencies and local municipalities. The geographic region
served by the firm is diverse, ranging to date from New Mexico to Florida to the
Mid-Atlantic States and New England. Though the use of high speed modems,
